Hi all, I've created a new mailing list on Google Groups for the KUDOS US-based Koha user's group. To join the group visit http://groups.google.com/group/kudos-koha. If you were on the old list you'll have to go to the site and re-join. You can probably also join without surrendering your personal details to the Google-opoly by emailing kudos-koha-subscribe@googlegroups.com Why the change to the nasty spam-infested out-of-control Google Groups service? Actually, that doesn't work. Is it an option that the KUDOS group admin can switch on, please? I feel that participation in Koha groups should not require consent to Google's (unfair IMO) terms and (lack of) privacy policy. Thanks, -- MJ Ray (slef) Webmaster and LMS developer at | software www.software.coop http://mjr.towers.org.uk | .... co IMO only: see http://mjr.towers.org.uk/email.html | .... op
Hi all, MJ, how did I know you wouldn't be happy about my choice to use the Google-opoly? ;) I went with it because I was asked to get a list up quickly to facilitate planning for the next meeting. We used mailman in the past to manage the list but from what I've read it's a bear to get it to cooperate with the mail server software we're presently using. I haven't had a chance to attempt installing it. I knew not everyone would be pleased with this choice, but considered it a temporary solution. If anyone else wants to host the list, that's fine with me. Also, I couldn't find an option anywhere to enable subscribing via email. Sorry about that. Cheers, Cindy MJ Ray wrote:
