Hi all, We are wanting to try out federated searching whereby one of our local colleges can return search results from our catalogue when they search on their catalogue. Is making Z39.50 Target Public the way to go about this? See instructions below from manual, using V 3.01.00.999. Making Z39.50 Target Public Question: Could someone tell me the exact steps I need to take to configure Zebra to expose my Koha 3 db as a public Z39.50 service? Answer: Edit the KOHA_CONF file that your Koha is using. Uncomment the publicserver line like: <!-- <listen id="publicserver" >tcp:@:9999</listen> --> to be: <listen id="publicserver" >tcp:@:9999</listen> Then restart zebasrv and connect on the port specified (9999). ##################################################################################################################################### DISCLAIMER: This e-mail message and accompanying data may contain information that is confidential and subject to privilege. I think (and I would like those that know the answer to respond) that you can also make your Koha catalog harvestable via OAI-PMH. Both solution are allowed and available. There is a third one : SRU/SRW if you need. (zebra is both z3950 and SRU/SRW server) -- Henri-Damien LAURENT
My library participates to a national metaopac. Up to now incoming queries are managed by the Z39.50 server of Zebra. We are interested to use SRU, but we need to apply an XSL to responses. Where can I find some examples? Thanks. Stefano On Jul 13, 2011, at 09:32 , LAURENT Henri-Damien wrote:

Where can I find some examples? Thanks. Stefano to apply xsl, you need to edit the koha-conf.xml in order to set your XSL for the schema or OID type you want to answer to. And zebra interprets SRU queries see zebra documentation for that... And
