They really are deprecated. It doesn't need scare-quotes because it's a real word. They are being removed in current master I think, so 3.18 won't have them, this provides about a year of overlap (3.18 being about 4-ish months away.) Yes they were deprecated in 3.16, and being removed in the 3.18 release. Chris
