Re: [Koha] Search multiple libraries
Oh! That's a cool idea - but right now it is not possible. I'm CCing the entire list so they see your idea and maybe someone might develop it one day :) Nicole On Fri, Sep 10, 2010 at 2:44 PM, Zachary Spalding <spalding@senylrc.org> wrote:
I am wondering if that setting can be set per patron and not for everybody. I got some people who only work one specific library and only want to search that library, but then I also have several other people that work in several libraries and want to search everything.
I currently have it set to limit the search to their specific library since I have more people who work only in one library.

I'm confused ... the default is for patrons to search all libraries. You need to check your settings on the SearchMyLibraryFirst preference.
More info is here: http://koha-community.org/documentation/3-2-manual/?ch=c19#AEN1689 under 1.1.11.3.6.
If that's not the case then we need more info...

Is there a way to set up a patron to override the default setting of searching their local library/branch to search all libraries/branches?

I have done part of this for mandumah.com, however its pretty site-specific... and unclean. I need to finish it, clean it up abit, and make changes to the current 3 and 3.2 versions. ----- Original Message ---- From: Nicole Engard <nengard@gmail.com> To: Zachary Spalding <spalding@senylrc.org>; Koha <Koha@lists.katipo.co.nz> Sent: Sat, 11 September, 2010 8:27:43 AM Subject: Re: [Koha] Search multiple libraries Oh!
