Hi, Is it possible to change the format in Koha? To replace Unimarc by Marc 21 (I have only five records in my database in Unimarc and I would switch in MARC 21)? Or should I reinstall Koha? Thanks Martin Caris

There is no record semantics conversion process in Koha. There are scarcely any preconfigured tools available anywhere to convert all possible data between UNIMARC and MARC 21. Automatically retrieving commonly available records from a different MARC semantics would be easier to implement than complete conversion between UNIMARC and MARC 21. Even if your existing records are simple enough to convert easily, purging the installation and recreating a small number of records would be trivial in comparison to what would be required for a comprehensive conversion between UNIMARC and MARC 21. Create a new installation for MARC 21 with a new database name. If reusing the database name, then drop the database before installing. I leave it for someone else to report again about how to purge the Zebra index completely without leaving any phantom index information. Sometimes special magic seems to be required without deleting all of the files commonly placed somewhere under the /var directory which relate to Zebra.
