if you records have language specified in 008 [1] then you could search using "language=xxx", with xxx one of MARC21 language codes [2] Regards, Bernardo [1] http://www.loc.gov/marc/bibliographic/bd008.html [2] http://www.loc.gov/marc/languages/language_code.html -- Bernardo Gonzalez Kriegel bgkriegel@gmail.com
Dear Bernardo, Thank you very much that you kindly reply and answered my question. Your answer was very helpful. I tried searching by any of the languages that are include in the library, I did not succeed except for “eng” What if 008 filed for all the library records have “s 001 0 eng u” does this mean that I have to manually change it for all the records in the library? I appreciate any advice. Amal On Fri, Jan 11, 2013 at 7:40 PM, Bernardo Gonzalez Kriegel < bgkriegel@gmail.com> wrote:

Ouch! That could be a very daunting job. If the language information is somewhere it could be possible to write a program that changes 008. Or perhaps someone has a better idea. Regards, Bernardo
