Koha - order of subject fields
Has anyone found an easy way to change the order of subject fields? In other words, if you have multiple 6XX fields and want to change their order in which they appear - according to importance. Is there a way in Koha to do that? Thanks. -- Linda Culberson lculber@mdah.state.ms.us Archives and Records Services Division Ms. Dept. of Archives & History P. O. And -- while I sure hope someone has a positive answer for this because even when I import records from OCLC, after carefully ordering 6XX fields, our Koha sorts them around into numerical order -- I'd like to be able to sort some 5XX notes fields rather than having them automatically sort themselves into numerical order. Probably the same technical issue, eh? Kurt Kurt A. Bodling Technical Services Librarian George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate, Museum & Gardens

there is. MARC::Record can preserve the order using append_fields rather than insert_field_ordered or insert_grouped_field or insert_fields_after i don't know whether it is a solution. But you could ask someone to dive into the code to see where that kind of things are used. MARC is really fun :S when manipulating data. -- Henri-Damien LAURENT

Wouldn't switching OPAC Display to XSLT or ISBD allow that? Maybe not "an easy way" though.
