How to show MARC 952$c in the Koha OPAC
Hi In our library we are using Koha 21.11.02. We want to show the content of MARC 952$c (shelving location code) in the OPAC. The content of MARC 952$c is only shown if MARC 952$c is linked to category of authorized values "LOC". In this case the content of MARC 952$c is shown in the item data field "current library" in both OPAC and staff client. In our library MARC 952$c is not linked to a category of authorized values and the content of MARC 952$c is only shown in the staff client, but not in the OPAC. Does anyone know how to make it visible? Best wishes: Michael -- Geschäftsführer · Diplombibliothekar BBS, Informatiker eidg. Hi, You can make it visible unchecking the box for "item_shelving_location" in Table id: holdingst. You can do this from the Administration menu, selecting Setting Table and then Opac. Best wishes, Paola Biblioteca de Geografía y Turismo https://bibliotecadgyt.uns.edu.ar Universidad Nacional del Sur Argentina You should go to sconfiguring and hide or show columns for tables in Table id: holdingst. You can do this trough the Administration menu, setting table, Opac tables Michael Kuhn <mik@adminkuhn.ch> escribió:

Thanks for your answer, but no - unfortunately this is not working. Best wishes: Michael -- Geschäftsführer · Diplombibliothekar BBS, Informatiker eidg. Hi Michael, I am not sure that it's possible at the moment to use collection with plain text instead of with an authorised value code. My guess is that the column shows, but is empty? Katrin On 21.04.22 14:20, Michael Kuhn wrote:

Yes, the column "current library" and the name of the current library show - but not the content of MARC 952$c which should appear below (and which does appear if MARC 952$c is linked with the category of authorized values "LOC"). And as said: This is only the case in the OPAC. In the staff client MARC 952$c shows, linked to the category of authorized values "LOC" or not. Hi Michael, I confused collection and location. One more idea: you could check if a different setting for OpacLocationOnDetail makes any difference. Katrin On 21.04.22 14:57, Michael Kuhn wrote:

No - all the four options there only work if MARC 952$c is linked with the category of authorized values "LOC". In the case of option "on a separate column" it doesn't even show an empty column but just no new column at all. Best wishes: Michael -- Geschäftsführer · Diplombibliothekar BBS, Informatiker eidg. Hi Michael, if you use the separate column, I think you also need to check the table configuration for this table as the column is set to hidden by default. But it sounds like you might want to file a bug. Katrin On 21.04.22 15:19, Michael Kuhn wrote:

Yes, I tried that but it didn't help.

I have now filed bug https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=30582 (MARC 952$c won't show in OPAC when not linked to category of authorized values) Thank you very much for your efforts!
