Greetings, If anyone has any experience migrating from Softlink Oliver to Koha I would appreciate it if you would share any tips or tricks you have. Many thanks, Clint.
Clint, My company, e-Libris Technologies, LLC, specializes in data extraction. After reviewing the technical overview for Oliver it appears to be a SQL-based database. You might consider a couple of things: 1. If you have a reporting module it may have login information to the database that you can derive. Once you have the login info and can get to a prompt you can then log into the database and begin determining the tables that will hold patron, item, fines, holds, and other data. 2. Determine if there are reports that you can run that will give you the data which you can store in text file or Excel spreadsheet. 3. Oliver, should but may not, have a utility with which you can export your MARC records. Hope this help. Email me if you would like to discuss further.
