adding MARC tags (not in framework) while cataloguing
Hi, I occasionally need to add unfrequently used MARC tags to new records, even though they are not present (=active for staff) in the default MARC framework. I realize that it is possible to activate those tags by (temporarily) modifying the default MARC framework, or that one can save the record in MARC format, edit it via MarcEdit, and then re-import the record, including any additional tag. Isn't it possible to activate MARC tags at cataloguing time? Many thanks and best regards, Giuseppe.
Hi Guiseppe, it's currently not possible to activate MARC tags at cataloguing time in cataloguing - what you describe is, I think, the only way to do it. There is a new professional cataloguing editor in development, that is more flexible in that regard, see here: http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=11559 There is also a sandbox for testing: http://staff-bz11559.bwsdev.bywatersolutions.com/ Login is: bywater/bywater Hope this helps, Katrin Am 12.09.2015 um 17:22 schrieb Giuseppe Angilella:
