System out of virtual memory
Colleagues, I am trying to install koha 2.2.9. but my system is poping up a error message "Your system is low on virtual memory". My system is an IBM Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.40 GHz, 512 RAM. The virtual memory paging file is set up at 768 MB (being 1.5 times the size of RAM). I have tried to increase it 1152 MB, but the message is still popping up. All the other software Apache, MySql, Perl have all installed successfully. Cant figure out what could be the problem. Please assist. Hi, At which point do you have this message ? Have you already installed the database ? Have you pushed in data ? Are you trying to use it ? -- Henri-Damien LAURENT

What operating system have you installed this on? On Linux there are tools like top and vmstat to help you monitor your memory usage. As well, you should ensure you are only running services essential to Koha. This means getting rid of the GUI and X Window. Runa barebones server, not a work station. cheers rickw -- ________________________________________________________________ Rick Welykochy || Praxis Services || Internet Driving Instructor We like to think of ourselves as the Microsoft of the energy world. -- Kenneth Lay, former CEO of Enron
