Koha customizing Perl templates
All, Is it okay to change the templates in 3.4.1 or will they be overwritten with upgrades making it better to use the opacuserjs and intranetuserjs system preferences? If you can do it with js and css, that is a better option. Alternatively if you are making customisations that would benefit the wider Koha user base, editing the templates and making patches and sending the upstream is equally as good. Next best, if you run from git, or store all your customisations then, you can track changes and apply the customisations again when you upgrade. The last .. and by far the worst option, is to make local changes, without version control or noting the changes. Then you will not be able to upgrade without having to redo them all again. Hope this helps Chris
