I'm having a problem when searching a certain Z39.50 server for more general search terms suchas Authors and Titles. I have no problem with the same query with AMICUS and LoC and I also do not have a problem with a more specific searchs such as an ISBN. One general search term I used is "Tolkien, J. R. R." in the author field.
