Easy answer : Work with 3.6 on Linux

Difficult answer : Use
http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_3.4documentation as a base
and try to figure out your own way from there -
reading and understanding the code, running diff, and back-porting patches
and bugfixes on your own.

Essentially if you are trying to do this on Windows platform, you are on
your own by and large.
