[Koha] Koha Fines Not Calculating

Hello,
I am from the University of Guyana and I am part of the team that customized Koha. However, we are experiencing a problem. When an item is overdue, Koha does not automatically calculate the fine, however, it says the item is overdue. Circulation and fine rules have already been set up and finesMode set to production. Fines.pl was also run. Please help!!!
