<div class="gmail_quote">Dear all,<br><br>We are happy to inform you about the recent workshop which was held at DBJ College, Chiplun, Dist. Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, India, from 15-16th Oct. 2010 on Koha Library Automation Software. The workshop was one of the first workshop held in rural part of Maharashtra where participants could get a chance to directly work on Koha. Around 50 participants attended the workshop. The participants were mainly from School/College and Public Libraries where they are in search for a good library automation software with international standards. We used latest koha-3.02.00 release candidate version which was released on 7th Oct 2010 (Thanks to Galen for recommending this version to use for the workshop) for the workshop and it worked successfully. <br>
<br>Prof. Prasad, DRTC, Bangalore has created a LiveCD with Koha-3.02.00 & DSpace-1.6.2 integrated with Ubuntu 10.4.1 LTS version. This LiveCD was distributed to all the participants. This LiveCD will be uploaded to Sourceforge soon. The Librarian, Shri. Sudhir More, DBJ College, Chiplun provided all the required infrastructure and support for the workshop. Shri. Koustubha Kale, Anant Corporation, Thane, INDIA, Dr. Sunita Barve, NCRA, Pune, INDIA & Dr. Nanaji Shewale, GIPE, Pune, INDIA worked as a resource person for the workshop & the following topics were covered during the workshop:-<br>
