As I recall, you only need the 942$n = 1 (or another positive integer; you
can link the field to an authorized value list in the MARC framework) in the
MARC record, not the database.  When Zebra does it's indexing, it will
respect the suppression, provided you have at least one record to suppress
and the OPACSuppression system preference turned on.

In short, there is no need to map it to a database field to get it to work.
